Since I am just starting this blog, I will need to go back and fill in a few things about me and my history.
I have been in the landscape/lawn care industry for 30+ years. I have owned businesses and worked in Idaho and Utah.
The economic circumstances have caused myself and a lot of other people to reevaluate their goals and careers choices. With all that I have done the past 30 years, landscaping, lawn care, tree care, water features, I have come to enjoy installing and maintaining water features the most. If I could choose a career that I could do exclusively it would be that. But since it is a luxury, (not necessary to live), not a lot of people are having them installed at this time.

I found it necessary to look for a way to have an income and provide for my family. (unfortunately bills keep coming)
I already had my CDL-B so I decided to look into driving truck. I needed to upgrade to CDL-A in order to be able to go over the road. I contacted Lynn Jorgensen of Sage Technical Services in Blackfoot Idaho. (I knew Lynn from his days at Mr. Mac). Sage is a truck driving school. As a result I started taking classes on being a truck driver. I was able to attain all my endorsements, tanker, doubles/triples, and Hazmat. (I have also recently received my long combination vehicle certification). As I talked to Lynn he told me about driving in North Dakota in the oil field. He said that the pay appeared to be better. Sage had a career fair at there offices in Feb. I talked to several different OTR companies and 2 oil field companies. After considerable consideration I decided to go to work for Missouri Basin Well Service out of Belfield, ND.
